ROCK CLUB

On the isle of Lesvos, Greece, where I lived for several years, there are many turtles, especially in seaside villages.
In the village where I lived, they were very popular with both the locals and the tourists.  There was a particular bridge, quite near the beach, where people would go daily to feed the turtles and watch their antics and, as there were so many passers by, I often used to sit and paint there and sell my work.  I would stop for a rest at quiet times and watch the turtles as they went about their daily lives.
These lovable creatures inspired me to create many designs, some of which I have included in SWANSONG CREATIONS. ROCK CLUB was my first flight of fancy into turtle world.    My turtle pictures are quite famous and many people collect the whole set.  I know of one Gentleman in New York who has all seven designs hanging in his flat and also uses one design called OUT TO LUNCH TURTLE on the front door of his business to tell his customers when he is away from the shop.
