Tabby Cat

Tabby Cat

The original Tabby Cat was painted in Greece, where there are many, many unwanted cats left to roam on their own on the seafront and in the villages.

Tabby was a master at working the tourists that frequented the seafront restaurants.  He knew exactly when to visit, who to pester and how to be subtle in doing so.....

He was a clear favourite with everyone and far from being skinny, like so many of the stray cats are, he had a tummy to be proud of and fur that shone in the light.... His diet was rich in olive oil and vitamin D and he particularly loved sardines and calamari..... however, he was not one to quibble, if you gave him the remains of your lamb chop or a tasty piece of steak.

Life is enriched by making the best of every opportunity that comes your way and TABBY CAT was the champion at so doing.  I do hope you enjoy him.  He can be purchased as a Greetings Card, or as a mounted or unmounted print.

This painting can be bought in greetings cards, unmounted pictures, or mounted frames.  I have a collection of beige, red or light green frames so you will need to contact me to ask what colour.  Some of my paintings also can be bought as a tea towel.  Please see the drop down menu when you go to buy.
