Sunflowers
This painting is the third IN a series of four paintings entitled THE FOUR SEASONS. It represents Autumn in the series.
Some time ago a dear friend gave me a beautiful bunch of sunflowers as a gift. As soon as they were in the vase, I just had to paint them....SUNFLOWERS can be bought as a Greetings Card, a mounted print or as a tea towel.
Sunflowers remind me of Van Gough, (one of my favourite artists), and my work is often influenced by his. They also fill me with hope, cheer and feelings of well- being. These striking blooms make me think of lazy, late summer afternoons, fresh spices, orange and lemon zest and joyous laughter.
I do hope my painting does the sunflower justice and that it will make you smile, whatever the weather or time of year…………….
